Chandrayaan-3 is a lunar mission that successfully landed on the moon’s south pole on August 23, 2023. The mission’s goal was to demonstrate the ability to safely land and drive a rover on the moon. 

Mangalyaan, also known as the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), was India’s first mission to Mars and a historic achievement for the country. Launched on November 5, 2013 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh 

India’s 5G rollout is one of the fastest in the world, with the country’s first 5G network launched in October 2022:

  • Launch: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services at the Indian Mobile Congress in New Delhi. 
  • Speed: The GSMA says that median 5G download speeds in India are 25 times faster than 4G.  
  • Number of users: Over 100 million users have started using 5G in India. 
  • Network performance: India’s 5G network ranks among the top-performing networks globally. 
  • Rollout: The 4-lakh site mark was achieved in less than 15 months of the 5G launch. 

Pokhran-II (Operation Shakti) was a series of five nuclear weapon tests conducted by India in May 1998. The bombs were detonated at the Indian Army‘s Pokhran Test Range in Rajasthan. It was the second instance of nuclear testing conducted by India, after the first test, code-named Smiling Buddha, was conducted in May 1974.

The world’s tallest statue is located in Gujarat, India. Standing almost 600 feet tall, the Statue of Unity depicts Indian freedom fighter and politician Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the most prominent leaders of the Indian independence movement, and the first Deputy Prime Minister of India.

India invented the Number System. Zero was invented by Aryabhatta. The World’s first university was established in Takshila in 700BC. More than 10,500 students from all over the world studied more than 60 subjects.
